I cant believe its been 7 months since I last updated! Well, actually I can. A lot has happened since then.

In July I moved back to Arizona, temporarily, for a job selling ski and snowboard equipment/accessories. Its really nice to be back near family and friends. Its weird to be back in the city. That job has kept me so busy traveling all over the west coast for the last 4 months. Seattle, Portland, Chicago, Vegas, Los Angeles, San Diego...all over!

I was the Maid of honor in a good friends wedding. That keeps you busier than you think it will when you agree to do it! :)

Then the holidays... always keep you busy and football season, of course. :) So things have slowed down. Its snowboarding season now! So I will be finding ways to make it to snow. I have friends and a free season pass in southwest Colorado. That will be my first stop! Here is my timeline of the last few months....

So I have not been on here in months! Nothing new. Just enjoying the change in seasons. Im glad the snow is gone and everything is in bloom. Lots of rain this spring. I wonder how the summer will be? Ive been on a few trips here and there. Was able to go to Canada for the first time. It was beautiful! Then to AZ to enjoy the heat. (I dont even recognize this white skin! Its been covered up all winter.) And of course I'll be going camping whenever possible. I cant wait for this summer! Lots of things going on. I get to see my sister and her family in August! Cant wait to laugh till I cry :) I think this will be the first time in a year or 2 my whole family will be

So it has been snowing all night and day but it was much needed (For the skiing). At least its still reliatively warm so its not too bad.

For anyone who lives where it snows it is so nice when you have a good mild winter. The weather this year has been awesome. Hardley any snow and rarely has it fallen to negative temps. Which was something that happened way to often last year. We have had so much sun for December and January which are usually the coldest month. I am still snowboarding and just got a whole new set up which I am very excited to put to use.

Ok, so it has been sooo long since my last blog. I have lots to update. I went to visit Cassie and the Ross family in Oct/Nov and we had a great time. Cassie and her family are currently residing in New Jersey. We saw lots of Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey and Washington DC. It was all so beautiful. Im sure I just picked the right time to go. It was a great trip and I had so much fun hanging out with my nephews. They are so sweet and so cute. I miss them again! Since Cass and John are moving soon I decided to make a short trip to az to see them. Im sad to see them leave but I know it will be such an awesome experience and I cant wait to visit the east coast!! I had to take a few pictures with the boys. Rendon was not having it and I had to tickle Boston to make him smile. He was trying so hard to make ugly faces.

I went on a walk with the boys and decided to take some pictures and experiment with my camera. A lot of the plants are still growing so there wasnt much. I did spot some ducks which was kinda weird I didnt expect to see ducks down by the river.

For Marcos birthday me him and a friend went down to denver for the day. Is was so fun! We literally sat at Barnes and Noble and read books for 3 hours. We walked around downtown denver and finished it off with a Rockies-Giants game. Such a good day. If you cant tell we were getting a little ressless towards the end of the game and trying to make the ugliest faces for pictures.

So I have been asked to update my blog. Honestly, Im really not good at creating the pages, it takes me so long.
Things have been really good though. It has been a long winter but the snow is finally gone and the sun has been out consistantly for 2 weeks now. Its so nice to just sit in the sun. Its amazing at how much it effects your mood. Marco gave me a bike for my birthday so Ive been riding it all over town and to work (5 minutes tops). Summer is good! Let see, what else? Marco and I have become quite the gardners. Ill post some pics of my plants they are getting so big! Its exciting to see them grow. Im growing Basil which I cook with all the time. Tomato, Green Bean, Bell Pepper and a jalapeno. They dont have anything yet but hopefully soon. They are all flowering. I think thats a good sign. The flowers I started already died.
Also I went to visit AZ at the end of April. It was great to get out of snow and go to 80 degree weather. I soaked it up. For about 1 hour my family was all together for the first time in months so we took pictures even though we were looking really cute in our Sunday family dinner best. Anyways, here is some pictures...

So I had a great christmas and New year. I went home to AZ for a couple of day and got to spend lots of time with the fam. I was especially excited to see my nephews. They are so cute! I didnt want to put Rendon down. He is such a good and happy baby. Its was Bostons first christmas where he kinda knew what was going on. He would open any present he could get his little hands on. Ha ha. I had a really really good christmas and I made it home just before all the flights were cancelled and the roads were closed due to weather. We had some really good friends come and visit. We had a lot of fun. Its so nice have friends and family come visit. I didnt do anything on New Years but there was firecrackers on the mountain and I could sit on my couch and see them perfectly out the window. It was a nice suprise. I fell asleep at 1130pm and woke up at 1am. Oops, I slept right throught the new year. Its been snowing a lot and Im starting to get cabin fever. When its 4 degrees outside I avoid doing anything that involves hang outside. Well anyways, I cant get the christmas pictures to download so here are some recent picture of fireworks and random pictures after snowboarding.

THANKSGIVING 2007!!

So this year I made Thanksgiving dinner. It was a challange but everything turned out perfect! And I still had time to shower before dinner. It was my first away from my family but it turned out to be a great Turkey Day. We woke up and went snowboarding and then came home, started cooking the turkey and watched football ALL DAY LONG.

Pumpkin pie

THIS RECIPE IS FOR TWO PIES!
Preheat oven to 350

6 eggs
2 cups brown sugar, firmly packed
4 teaspoons cinnamon
1 1/2 teaspoon ginger
1 teaspoon cloves
1 teaspoon nutmeg (optional)
1 29-oz can pumpkin
2 cups evaporated milk

1. Prepare pie crust and gently place them in pie pan and flute edges.

2. Beat the eggs and then add brown sugar, spices and pumpkin and mix. While mixing ingredients, gradually stir in evaporated milk into the filling and mix completely.

3. Pour filling in to the pie crust

4.Bake for about 50-55 minutes or until an inserted knife comes out clean. Allow pie to cool before serving.

SINGLE PIE CRUST

1 1/2 cups flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
3 tablespoons water
1/2 cup plus 1 tablespoon shortening

1. shift together flour and salt

2. Add water to 1/4 cup of the flour/salt mixture and make a paste.

3.with a pastry blender or two forks, cut the shortening into the remaining flour/salt mixture until little beads begin to form.

4. Pour the paste into the flour/shotening mixture and, with a fork, work the paste into the mixture until managable.

5. Form the dough into a flat ball and roll out into a floured surface. Make sure to turn the dought at least 2 or 3 times during the rolling process.

6. Gently lift and fit dough into the pie pan, trim off excess dough and either flute edges or press with a fork.

So Ive been super busy moving into a new place and getting settled in. I love love love my new place. Its big and open and we have an awesome view of the mountains. Here are some pictures I took before and after we moved in. I forgot how much I hated moving.

Marcos favorite pie is pumpkin and its about the time of year where its appropriate to make it. So last night I made my first pie. Including the crust! It was pretty dang good. Next time will be better though.

So its fall up here in the mountains and it is soo beautiful! Its about 60 in the days and 40ish during the night. Can you believe the snow on the mountains?! That happened the other night after a thunderstorm. So because its so beautiful outside I decided to try and capture it on a picture. The trees are changing colors and the colors are so intense. anyways, here are the pictures I took today. Winter is just around the corner...

This is my new home. Breckenridge colorado. Its a resort town in the rocky mountain. Ive been here for the last year and will be here for a while. Its so beautiful. It keeps me active an healthy living in the mountains.

I work at a day spa as an aesthetician. Some of the things I do at work are: Facials, waxing, body treatments, make-up application. I love my job and Im actually good at it which makes it more enjoyable:)

Ive learned how to snowboard and I love it! I took lots of hard falls learning (im suprised nothing was broken) but now its such a rush. I cant wait till winter!

Its hard being away from family and friends but I appriciate them so much more being away.
